#CreativeConnections

Creative home-based activities that support your
health and wellbeing during COVID-19

How can the arts provide support during COVID-19? What does the existing research tell us?

As part of Creativity and Wellbeing week, we are sharing a daily creative activity with you between 18-24 May 2020, that is partnered with a snapshot of research on the health benefits of engaging with that activity. Engaging with creative activities has an array of benefits and research has shown that it can support mental and physical health, as well as foster social connection. Due to the current challenges arising from our experiences of COVID-19, we want to highlight some of the ways the arts can support aspects of wellbeing. This feeds into our ongoing #CreativeConnections campaign, where we have been showcasing creative home-based initiatives that connect us to ourselves and others whilst physically distancing in lockdown.
