Frequently Asked Questions

What other accommodation options do I have?

Airbnbs are also available, if you search using postcode  IP17 1SP. Other options include The Old Mill Snape Self-Catering cottages in Snape or Crown House B&B in Great Glemham which is around 15 minutes drive from the Maltings and is opposite a food pub.

How will I get around in Suffolk?

As it is likely that you may be staying a few miles from the conference site (Snape Maltings), it is important to plan how you will get to the conference each day. If you are staying in Aldeburgh (Elizabeth Court), we can coordinate taxis for you if you do not have alternative transport. If you are staying elsewhere, you have several options:

  • Bring your own car. Remember to check that there is parking where you are staying if you bring a car with you.

  • Order taxis (we suggest speaking to others at the conference to split the costs). Taxis can be booked with Torrens Cars on 07532 044085 or A2B Cars. We recommend booking a taxi in advance of making your journey.

  • Get the bus. Unfortunately there are very few bus services to Snape from Ipswich and Aldeburgh. However, you can call Traveline on 0871 200 2233, visit the First Group Journey Planner or Traveline website to map the route from where you are staying to see if there is public transport available.

How can I find out more?
